1918 is a prototype consisting of 540 piles of ash. This prototype was created to reference the 1918 Provnier Massacre in Texas. the files are divided into 15 rows of 36. The 15 piles present the 15 boys and men killed by the Texas rangers. 15 piles include unfired ceramic body parts. It is estimated up to 1000 Mexicans were killed during that time. The final goal is to create 1000 piles of ash.
